Thursday Challenge NOW POSTING for 13OCT05
CURRENT Theme is “SMALL”
(Undersized, Miniature, S. of the Back, S. Talk, Fine Print, Microscopic, Miniscule, Diminutive, Tiny, Unpretentious, Itsy-Bitsy, Teensy-Weensy,…)
I submit this URL with two “PET RELATED” pictures for this week’s Thursday Challenge, given the fact that I have two pet related blogs …
By The Way … A Writing Tip
I don’t know if you guys noticed this but … if you are like me and prefer to write in POINT FORM .. or make lists etc … How do you do that?
Do you use the (li) (/li) codes to do this? … replace ( with < and replace ) with > …
I have just been adding an asterix * and a space before the text .. I will show you what it looks like .. the first set of point form items will be using the (li) (/li) codes .. the second set using the * before the word (that’s it … check it out… View Source!)
Is Extra Warranty Worth It?
This afternoon our water heater tank exploded. There was approximately 2 inches of water on the floor in the south section of my basement and a clear river flowing from the north part of my basement where the water heater tank was. Fortunately, a lot of my important documents and files and electronic items were deliberately placed off of the floor, for cases like this. I had built a step-floor where my permanent files are, that were the size of a 2″x4″ in height .. so I was okay.
It was messy … it took a while to clean up … but, no real damage .. except for the water heater that is. A few things got wet - I’ll survive.
Cleaning up my Sidebar & Creating a New Links Page
Greetings.
I have added a new “Page” today .. it’s in the right sidebar, just under the “Search” and my cute picture… I call it:
Bloglines and Other Distractions
I like the idea that I can add links to my site just as easily as content. What I didn’t like was using www.blogrolling.com because I have multiple accounts. I might be surfing one website - it may be Pet Related .. but I was logged in under my 1-800-HART account. Or, I might be surfing a small business or accounting website, but I was logged in under my PetLvr account.
But, that wasn’t the only problem .. My right sidebar was starting to get too long. I felt that it was long enough, so why bother to add any sites at all! Easy - problem solved. But, I want to add sites to my Links Page. It would be nice if these people saw me in their “who links to me” analysis and perhaps, return the reciprocal link!
A New Chart Of Accounts Design
I touched briefly how I designed my own personal chart of accounts in an earlier article .. but recently I have redesigned the chart of accounts for a new client that seems to be working great for me. So, I thought I would pass that along.
My current accounting software has the capability to create a chart of account design that holds up to 16 numbers … It is based and broken into 4 sections where you have to create this upon creation of the new chart of accounts. Once created, you cannot modify its design.

Manitoba has some of the highest taxes in Canada and has lost its competitive edge, a new report shows.
The Chartered Accountants of Manitoba today released the first instalment of The MB Check-Up, a three-part report outlining Manitoba’s attractiveness within Canada as a place to invest, live and work.
Meme - Top Five On Friday - Week 40
From: musicmemoirs.blogdrive.com/ blogsite:
Top Five On Friday - Week 40
Silly things reign supreme.
We did “Silly songs” once, but this week I’m doing a twist on it.
Top 5 Silly Song Titles
And if you’re feeling frisky a bonus:
Top 5 Silly Album Titles
I have lots of crazy and silly songs! I could have filled this list twice .. and still be in the “A”‘ section… but, that would include stuff like .. Arrogant Worms (Kill the Dog Next Door) and stuff like that … So, I thought I would keep it light and funny .. and less of the Dr. Evil - type of silliness!
Meme - Photo - “GOLDEN”
From: www.spunwithtears.com/thursday.html
Thursday Challenge NOW POSTING for 6OCT05
CURRENT Theme is “GOLDEN”
(gold/golden or yellow things, harvest, autumn, prosperous, advantageous, fortunate, coins, bananas, corn, canaries,…)
The only ‘Golden’ picture I could think of, was a picture of my wife on our Wedding Day .. BEFORE the ceremony .. not this one (while she was weighing the pros and cons to go through with the wedding) but THIS ONE! (after deciding to go through with the wedding!) …. The “Golden” being her Medieval Wedding Costume that is.
I Was Looking At My Stats Today..
Everytime I have created a new blog, I include a counter at the bottom of the page. There are a lot of free counters out there, but I chose to use www.StatsCounter.com free statistic for some apparent reason at the time, when I created my first blog and needed a counter. I am able to keep all new ‘Projects’, as they call them’ with one easy log-in so I have continued to keep adding new projects for new blogs and staying with StatsCounter.com …
By the way, all the numbers at the bottom of the page are by “Page Count”, and not by “Unique Visitor” count. Everytime a page inside this blog is clicked, or refreshed, the count goes up by 1. I chose this, because it is more meaningful to me to see how many page impressions that could have been imprinted today on my adsense ads, and keep the mystery never really knowing how many unique visitors are actually reading my blogs. On all blogs, my counter started at ZERO.
