NEW LANES TO KEEP PEOPLE AND GOODS MOVING ALONG THE QEW

NIAGARA FALLS — Construction to help reduce congestion and to keep people and goods moving along 5.2 kilometres of the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) has been completed and will be fully open to traffic on November 23, 2007, announced the Honourable Rob Nicholson, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, and MP for Niagara Falls, on behalf of the Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, and the Honourable Jim Bradley, Ontario Minister of Transportation and MPP for St. Catharines.

Quebec Exports to Grow in 2007 Before Receding in 2008, Says EDC

Minister of Public Safety Requests a Review of RCMP Protocols for the Use of Tasers

The Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of Public Safety, issued the following statement after asking Mr. Paul Kennedy, Chair of the Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP (CPC), to undertake a review of RCMP protocols for the use of Conducted Energy Devices (CEDs), commonly know as Tasers. Mr. Kennedy has accepted this request, in addition to the review of the conduct of members of the RCMP in the case of Mr. Dziekanski.

The Government of Canada Supports the Renewable Fuels Sector
