I have recently included a new form of advertising here on 1-800-HART Blog – AcruxAds. These are the banners in my “Featuring” section in the left sidebar and shown in this image on the right. I will be including this feature on several other blogs as well, including all my sites in the BattlingForHealth.com and AndYouWill.com domains.

Why You Should Advertise On My Blog

(1) Lower Advertising Cost

I get a bigger piece of the pie, because basically you are dealing with me now. This just means that rather than sharing revenues with a 3rd party (usually 50/50) I pretty much get all the revenue generated – less a handling fee from Acruxads. This allows me to offer CHEAPER banner advertising prices and pass along the savings to you. And, I get about the same amount of money so I’m happy too

(2) It’s REALLY Easy To Create A Flyer Or Advertisement

Advertisers can easily create a “Flyer” in less than 5 minutes, or upload your own 125×125 banner. A “flyer” is basically where you can create your own banner for anything you want to say (but, please keep it G-Rated!). And, you can upload up a different size banner – then RESIZE IT .. add text above or below the resized image .. and have a combo flyer/banner for special promotions! Imagine your logo with a special announcement every week – or every day – without actually having to create all these new banners that will only be obsolete next week. It’s up to you .. as long as it fits in these 125x125px spots! Just click on one of the available images to set up your ad.

(3) You Choose Your Sponsorship Term

Advertise as long as you want! Or as little as you want! I have set all my ads to be available on a DAILY RATE. Want to advertise just one day? You can! Want to advertise for 30 days? You can! Want to advertiser for 17 days? You can! Just select the number of days you want to advertise on my site, pay (via paypal), and your ad will appear in the next 24 hours.

For the rest of 2008 .. I have set all of my Banner Advertising slots to be $1.00 USD per day. In 2009 all rates will be going up (unless locked in BEFORE 2009) but, there will be coupon discounts offered in 2009 for longer terms.

I first placed the Entrecard script on this blog back in January 2008, and as I mentioned back in August 2008 .. I have been trying to keep EC-costs down to allow other EC users to advertise on this site relatively inexpensively.

Tomorrow, November 1, 2008, I will stop accepting purchases for daily slots and deny purchases. However, all purchases made today will be honoured and accepted in the queue (I believe that is good for 10 days) where at the end of the period, I will be removing the code. To advertise, click on the “E” on the widget in the footer below.

Get it while you can! I think it’s like 8 or 16 EC credits or something like that.

I am now using acruxads.com for sponsorship in the sidebar in the “Featured” section. This allows you to not only upload your own 125×125 banner but also create an ad or flyer “on the fly” in less than 5 minutes. Also, you may purchase slots based on daily rates, not monthly rates (in case you prefer shorter terms).

I received a FWD’ed email in my inbox the other day that asked the following question:

HERE IS THE SOLUTION

There are 7 girls on a bus

7 girls with 2 legs each ..
7 x 2 = 14 legs

Each girl has 7 backpacks

7 girls with 7 backpacks each
7 x 7 = 49 backpacks in total

In each backpack, there are 7 big cats

49 backpacks with 7 big cats with 4 legs each
49 x 7 x 4 = 1,372 legs per backpack

For every big cat there are 7 little cats

There are 7 big cats in each of the 49 backpacks
7 x 49 = 343 big cats in total
Each big cats have 7 little cats each with 4 legs
343 x 7 x 4 = 9,604 legs

14 + 1,372 + 9,604 = 10,990 legs in total

You can verify my answer .. you just had to do a simple Google Search and find the answer online somewhere!

HERE ARE THE WINNERS OF MY CONTEST!

I initially offered to give away 5 free advertising slots and posted the entry. But – nobody responded. So, I went over to BlogCatalog (my “homies”) and put a feel out to see if they were interested in trying to answer the question correctly. The response was overwelming and I decided to up the number of spots to 10. Unfortunately, it was taking forever to get 10 correct answers … and after the 9th correct answer .. FINALLY .. I received two correct answers within minutes from each other. So, I decided to actually have 11 winners!
