GEEESSSHHHH! It’s frustrating enough to wake up and wonder if anybody is reading your blogs, but even more so to waking up and seeing if your template is back to the default theme.

I apologize to my readers who also had to endure this, if it affected the functionality of this blog, in addition to the 1-800-HART’ish look and feel that has existed.

Here’s the reason I was worried the most: Is someone hacking into my site?

I have finally figured out why my RSS Feed has NOT been working since my upgrade from wordpress version 1.5.2 directly to wordpress 2.0.5

I was concerned of the problem being one created by me making such a vast jump in versions in wordpress that was the problem .. or the vast jump in the feedburner plugin or feedburner itself having problems.

It turns out that my old version of plugins included Denis de Bernardy’s “Related” series of plugins that you see at the end of each post (Related Searches, Related Entries, and Related Tags) did not include the additional plugin “Related Entries For Feeds” .. and I activated all four of them - instead of just the three that I had before.

Update is now complete ..

I have followed my previous instructions, converting from 1.5.2. directly to 2.0.4 .. and it worked converting it directly to the latest version 2.0.5.

There was one casualty - that I overlooked.

My DEMOCRACY plugin, which was for the poll question in the sidebar - got trashed. I believe it was because it was the old version 1.2 upgraded to the latest version 2.0.1 .. I’m not bitter though, although I wish I could have taken a snapshot picture of the results to date because .. it’s lost forever now.

It was a question asking what type of accounting software people were using out there in business, SOHO, and the real world. Unfortunately, I discount its results because it was there almost 11 months and I only received something like 70 votes. But .. I appreciate all the input from voters in the past and perhaps I will resurrect a similar poll in 2007!

Other than that? Everything looks like it is working perfectly - however, if you notice anything unusual or funny looking with this blog .. please leave a comment or let me know by email …. hart (at) 1800HART (dot) com …

Remember “Records” .. and “Record Players” ?

Music is my life. I enjoy music. I play music. I listen to music. I collect music. I need music!

Life changed for me, slightly, when I got married. I am the type of person that can fall asleep to music, and enjoyed falling asleep to music. My wife, on the other hand, can NOT fall asleep to music, but can fall asleep to the television. Me, on the third hand, have always been a couch potato, so I can’t fall asleep watching T.V. because, no matter how bad the show is - I can watch it. Yes .. I will pretty much watch anything that’s on television. Of course, I have my preferences .. starting with the Science Fiction channels (Star Trek, Stargate, stuff like that) then I go to the Comedy channels (Friends, Raymond, sitcoms like that) and if there is nothing on those channels - there’s always the ‘Toon channels (Futurama, Southpark, Family Guy, Simpsons (and animated shows like that).

Yes .. I think next in line would be stuff like you might see on Classic Turner TV .. as I used to grow up out in the country and watched CBC Late Night TV a lot! Great movies! There’s a reason they don’t make them anymore~! That’s what I say anyway So, after the Classic Movies .. fifth place would be ‘anything else but A&E or Mystery’ television shows. Now you can see why I can’t fall asleep in front of the T.V.!
