Suede Open Coat is a style coat worn in the mid 17th century. It is almost knee-length and can be worn either open or belted (belt not provided). It’s designed to be roomy, so that the sword arm is not impeded. Suede Open Coat is exactly the coat for either the aristocrat lounging about on his estates, or for the 17th century adventurer.

Suede Open Coat is available in sizes S/M (52″ chest) or L/XL (57″ chest). Dry clean only. Available in two color combinations- brown or black suede with gold trim. Slashed sleeves are also trimmed with gold and gold buttons.

At the beginning of the 17th century, men still wore the garments of the later Middle Ages: doublet, breeches and hose, and a cape. The Cavalier look then became the mode with broad topped boots, slashed doublets, and wide brimmed hats. Men’s jackets became longer and were trimmed with lace at the sleeves. If you regularly do laps at the pool, this suit is perfect. It reduces drag and you don’t have to deal with air bubbles stuck in the swim shorts. The design/pattern is simple but slick, and the suit covers from above the knees to the waist.

I was looking for a workout swimsuit that would reduce the drag of a normal swimsuit, but I did not want something as small (skimpy) as the standard speedo (I’m not in high school anymore). The Jammer (board shorts length) was a good compromise—I don’t feel like I’m sacraficing performance.
